This pot has motif patterns consist dots, waves, round foot and protruding bumps. The round foot symbolizes “eyes”, called matsa in the Paiwan language. The waves may be a highly modified snake pattern. The protruding bumps are referred to as tutu in the Paiwan language and symbolize human were nurtured by breast-feeding. From these bumps it is clear that this is a female pot.
