This type of fish basket is found among the Amis. The body was formed from bamboo woven using the plaiting method. The mouth was made using the twining method and appears trumpet-shaped. Bamboo strips were added to the bottom to allow this basket to stand upright. The Amis used this type of basket for holding small fish and shrimp. Bamboo strips would pierce through the large aquatic for carrying.
